Privilege escalation via uncontrolled installer DLL search

DLL hijacking in Silicon Laboratories CP210x VCP Windows 6.7 and earlier allows local users to execute code with elevated privileges. The installer resolves required DLLs through an uncontrolled search path containing an attacker-writable location, so a planted library loads instead of the intended one. Exploitation requires placement of the crafted DLL and user interaction to run the affected installer; the library then inherits the installer's privileges.
