Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in QuomodoSoft ElementsReady Addons for Elementor 6.4.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via SVG uploads. The SVG upload handling in inc/helper_functions.php accepts active SVG content without sufficient sanitization and later serves it without output escaping. Author-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser when the uploaded SVG file is accessed.
