Cross-site scripting in Brian Voelker Slim Select 2.0.0 through 2.9.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via option text. The createOption method assigns the user-controlled Options.text value to an option element's innerHTML property without neutralizing markup. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass unsanitized attacker-controlled option text and a user to render the resulting list, enabling script execution in that application's browser origin.
