CVE-2024-9432

API-key disclosure via plaintext agent storage

Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026

Cleartext storage in the Vertica agent in OpenText Vertica 23.x through 25.x allows local users to read a plaintext API key. The agent stores its API key without encryption, but OpenText has not disclosed the storage location or exact read path. Exploitation requires high local privileges and high-complexity conditions; the disclosed consequence is retrieval of the embedded credential.
