Admin-level stored XSS via unsanitized image Alt Text
Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Dec 12, 2024
Stored XSS in Sygnoos Popup Builder before 4.3.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through image Alt Text. The image-popup editor stores an Alt Text value without sanitizing or escaping it, then inserts the value into rendered popup markup. An administrator-level account can inject the payload even when unfiltered_html is disabled, and a visitor must view the popup for execution.
