Administrator-only command execution via map-icon upload
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Unrestricted upload in GEO my WP before 4.5 and GEO my WP Premium Settings before 3.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The map-icons tool accepts a GIF-prefixed PHP file labeled image/gif and stores it with its PHP extension in a web-accessible uploads directory. Exploitation requires an Administrator account and both plugins; the resulting PHP webshell executes commands without a WordPress session.
