Authenticated file overwrite via unsanitized upload filename
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Path traversal in SuperAGI 0.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite server files through the resource upload endpoint. The upload function in superagi/controllers/resources.py passes file.filename directly to os.path.join() and opens the resulting path in binary write mode without canonicalization or containment validation. A valid account and writable target path are required; successful traversal can replace any file writable by the service and enable code execution.
