Server file disclosure via artifact path traversal
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Path traversal in Polyaxon's run-artifact endpoint allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files without authentication. The endpoint accepts a path query value containing ../ segments for artifact retrieval without restricting the resolved path to the run's artifact directory. A reachable stream API and a valid run UUID are sufficient to retrieve files readable by the service account, including files under /etc.
