Script execution via unescaped wpext-export value
Published Oct 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in WP Extended 3.0.9 and earlier and 3.0.11 through 3.0.12 allows remote attackers to execute scripts via wpext-export. The export library places the wpext-export request value into an export link without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. No authentication is required, but a victim must follow a crafted link; the resulting script runs in that user's browser context and can read or modify page data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
