Administrator credential compromise via unlimited login attempts
Published Jul 16, 2025 · Updated Jun 18, 2026
Improper login-attempt restriction in Eclipse GlassFish before 8.0.3 allows remote attackers to brute-force administrator credentials. The administration interface accepts unlimited failed authentication attempts without tracking the username and remote host or delaying repeated failures. The Administration Console or REST API must be reachable through a remote connection; successful guessing grants the compromised administrator's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
