Unauthenticated admin access via interpolated username query
Published Sep 29, 2024 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
SQL injection in Online Shopping Portal 2.0 allows remote attackers to access the admin panel without valid credentials via the login form. The admin login handler in /shopping/admin/index.php interpolates the POST username directly into a SELECT query, allowing a comment sequence to discard the password check. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation creates an administrator session and exposes admin-panel functions.
