Stored script execution via unneutralized timesheet fields
Published Sep 29, 2024 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Online Timesheet App 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through day or task fields. The Add Timesheet form passes day and task values to /endpoint/add-timesheet.php without neutralizing script content, then stores and renders them on the home page. A low-privileged account can plant code that runs when another user views the affected page, producing attacker-controlled script execution in that user's browser.
