CVE-2024-9307Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file upload via missing capability check

Published Nov 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in ThemeLooks mFolio Lite 1.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place SVG or EXE files. The plugin upload handler accepts dangerous SVG and EXE file types without enforcing the required WordPress capability check. Author-level access is required; uploaded SVG scripts execute when a user opens the file, while an uploaded EXE requires separate access or a user to download and run it.
