CVE-2024-9289Network attack vector

Account takeover via unchecked identity validation

Published Oct 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Authentication bypass in RedefiningTheWeb WordPress & WooCommerce Affiliate Program 8.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over accounts. The rtwwwap_login_request_callback() function authenticates a requested identity without adequately validating that the requester owns it. Knowing an account email address is sufficient, so access to an administrator email permits full administrative account takeover.
