CVE-2024-9257Network attack vector

Authenticated file deletion via unchecked filename

Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 23, 2024

Improper input validation in Logsign Unified SecOps Platform 6.4.24 allows remote authenticated users to delete files in sensitive directories. The delete_gsuite_api_key_file() function passes its filename parameter to file operations without verifying that it names a valid .p12 file. An account with delete_settings_device_list permission can delete sensitive or system configuration files from the poller or cluster log directories.
