Information disclosure via stale Annotation object
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Use-after-free in Annotation handling in Foxit PDF Reader 2024.2.3.25184 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information. The Annotation handler performs operations on an object without first verifying that it still exists, causing access through a freed pointer. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; disclosure can support a separate code-execution chain.
