Information disclosure via Annotation buffer over-read
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Foxit PDF Reader 2024.2.0.25138 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted PDF. The Annotation-object parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open the file; the direct impact is memory disclosure, while code execution requires another flaw.
