Cross-user chat disclosure and deletion via username spoofing
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Authentication bypass in GaiZhenbiao ChuanhuChatGPT as of commit 3856d4f allows remote authenticated users to read and delete others' chats. The get_model function accepts the username supplied in an HTTP request instead of deriving identity from a server-controlled cookie. Any account can therefore select another user's chat history for disclosure or deletion without knowing that user's credentials.
