OS command injection in Zyxel DSL/Ethernet CPE firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a diagnostic host parameter. The diagnostic function incorporates the unneutralized host value into an operating-system command, allowing supplied command syntax to alter execution. Exploitation requires administrator credentials and management-interface access; WAN access is disabled by default, and successful injection executes commands on the device.
