Subscriber-level button deletion via unchecked deleteRm authorization
Published Oct 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Read more By Adam 1.1.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete configured read-more buttons. The deleteRm() function performs its deletion without checking whether the caller has a capability authorized to manage plugin content. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the documented consequence is limited to deletion of configured buttons.
