CVE-2024-9166Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root command execution via getcommand query

Published Sep 26, 2024 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

OS command injection in Atelmo Atemio AM 520 HD running TitanNit 2.01 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. The TitanNit web server passes the cmd value from /query?getcommand=&cmd= into a shell command without authentication or metacharacter neutralization. Network access to the receiver's web-control port is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants complete root control of the appliance.
