Stored script execution via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Oct 31, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Codemenschen Gift Cards 4.4.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via SVG uploads. The SVG upload path in giftcard.php accepts SVG content without sufficient sanitization and later serves it without adequate output escaping. Author-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in the browser whenever a user accesses the uploaded SVG file.
