CVE-2024-9158

UI code execution via unsanitized CLI input

Published Sep 30, 2024 · Updated Sep 30, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in Tenable Network Monitor before 6.5.0 allows local users with administrative access to inject code into the UI. The local CLI accepts arbitrary code without neutralizing it before stored content is rendered in the web interface. Administrative or root CLI access is required, and execution occurs when an authenticated user views the affected UI content.
