Cross-site scripting in Oct8ne allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a chat user's browser through an altered message body. The chat-content handling path accepts an intercepted and modified message body containing JavaScript and causes the payload to execute. Exploitation requires a user to render the altered chat content, enabling access to or modification of data available within the affected browser context.
