Stored script execution via unsafe SVG uploads
Published Sep 26, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Sekler Mapplic Lite 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through SVG uploads. The upload path accepts SVG content without sufficient input sanitization, and the plugin later serves the file without escaping its embedded script content. Author-level access is required, and the injected script executes in a visitor's browser when the uploaded SVG file is accessed.
