Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in PickPlugins Product Designer for WooCommerce 1.0.36 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via SVG uploads. The SVG upload path accepts embedded active content without sufficient sanitization, and the plugin serves the stored file without output escaping when opened. Author-level access or higher is required; opening the uploaded SVG executes the attacker's script in the visitor's browser and exposes that WordPress session.
