Authenticated code execution via unchecked image upload
Published Sep 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in itsourcecode Online Bookstore 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted image. admin_add.php uses the image value from uploaded-file data to select a web-accessible storage path without validating the file type, name, or content. A regular user account is required; uploading a PHP payload and requesting it from bootstrap/img executes attacker-controlled server commands.
