CVE-2024-8995Network attack vector

Unauthorized access via retained authorization codes

Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026

Insufficient session expiration in multiple WSO2 products allows remote authenticated users to obtain access tokens for deleted users. User deletion or locking fails to revoke unused authorization codes retained by the OAuth component, leaving them valid for token exchange. Exploitation requires the code, client ID, and client secret; resulting access is limited to resources allowed by the code's original scopes.
