CVE-2024-8967Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG uploads

Published Oct 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in iWorks PWA — easy way to Progressive Web App 1.6.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via SVG uploads. The SVG upload handler in includes/iworks/class-iworks-svg.php accepts script-capable SVG markup without sufficient sanitization, and the plugin serves it without output escaping. Author-level access is required to store the payload, which executes when another user opens the SVG and can read or alter data available to that browser session.
