CVE-2024-8966Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via oversized multipart boundary suffix

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Resource exhaustion in Gradio before 5.9 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a malformed multipart file upload. The multipart parser examines every character appended to the boundary and emits repeated warnings instead of rejecting the oversized suffix. Exploitation requires network access to a Gradio file-upload endpoint and can leave the application inaccessible for an extended period.
