CVE-2024-8963Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated administrative-function access via encoded path traversal

Published Sep 19, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Path traversal in Ivanti Cloud Services Appliance before 4.6 Patch 519 allows remote attackers to access restricted functionality. A crafted request appends an encoded question mark and a restricted PHP path to /client/index.php, and the appliance serves the protected endpoint without a session. Network access to the CSA web interface is sufficient; the bypass exposes administrative functions and was chained with separate injection flaws for code execution.
