Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG file uploads
Published Oct 24, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Jewel Theme WP Adminify 4.0.1.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through SVG uploads. The SVG upload path accepts active script content without sufficient sanitization, and the file is later served without output escaping. Author-level access is required; the script executes in the browser of any user who opens the uploaded SVG, enabling actions in that user's WordPress session.
