Authenticated script execution via unencoded toview parameter
Published Sep 17, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Reflected XSS in manage_fee.php in SourceCodester Resort Reservation System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script via toview. The page embeds the toview query value in a JavaScript string comparison without context-appropriate encoding, allowing a closing-script sequence to inject attacker-controlled JavaScript. An authenticated attacker must induce another user to open the crafted URL; the injected script executes in that user's browser origin and can alter displayed application content.
