Unauthenticated file disclosure via path parameter traversal
Published Sep 24, 2024 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Path traversal in NetMake Scriptcase 9.4.019 allows remote attackers to read files outside a restricted directory through a crafted request. The nm_edit_php_edit.php endpoint fails to contain parent-directory sequences supplied through subpage or the POST field_file path, allowing /... input to bypass SecurityManager restrictions. Unauthenticated network access to the endpoint is sufficient; the reported consequence is limited to listing parent directories and reading files reachable by the web process.
