Memory-buffer corruption in Schneider Electric Modicon controllers allows man-in-the-middle attackers to execute arbitrary code. A crafted Modbus function call overwrites a secondary function pointer stored in authentication-related memory. The attacker must first occupy a man-in-the-middle position; successful exploitation executes code on the controller without reported availability impact.
