Unauthenticated password reset via array-based SQL injection
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in LatePoint 5.0.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset customer passwords through an unauthenticated AJAX request. OsCustomerHelper::get_by_account_nonse passes the password_reset_token array into OsModel::build_conditions_query, letting a crafted OR condition select a customer by user ID instead of matching the reset nonce. WordPress administrator takeover requires the disabled-by-default "Use WordPress users as customers" setting; otherwise the write is limited to LatePoint customer passwords.
