Code execution via uninitialized DXF parser memory
Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Use of uninitialized memory in Autodesk AutoCAD 2022 through 2025 allows local users to execute code by opening a crafted DXF file. The acdb25.dll DXF parser accesses memory before initialization, enabling a process crash, sensitive-data writes, or arbitrary code execution. Exploitation requires user interaction to open the file or visit malicious content, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
