Script execution via unescaped add_query_arg URL
Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in AJAX Login and Registration modal popup + inline form 2.24 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts. The settings code passes the request URL through add_query_arg and renders the returned URL without appropriate output escaping. Execution requires a victim to follow a crafted link; the script runs in that user's browser under the affected site's origin.
