Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized DataFrame query
Published Sep 14, 2024 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Command injection in H2O-3 3.46.0.4's D-Tale chart-data route allows remote attackers to execute operating-system commands. The route passes the query parameter through run_query into Python-engine df.query evaluation without sanitizing the expression. The route is unauthenticated when exposed, although the public patch is in D-Tale and does not establish that H2O-3 contains the affected code.
