Stored script execution via unsanitized auction descriptions
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Jan 7, 2025
Stored XSS in Marka Studios WordPress Auction Plugin 3.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via auction descriptions. The auction description accepts script markup without sanitization, and the auctions widget renders the stored description on the frontend without output escaping. Editor-level access is required to add the crafted auction, and script execution occurs in the browser of a user who views the affected frontend page.
