Stored script execution via unescaped custom styles
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
Stored XSS in CodePeople Polls CP before 1.0.77 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through custom poll styles. The custom-styles setting stores attacker-supplied CSS without neutralizing a closing style tag, and poll pages render the value inside a style block. Administrator access and a site that denies unfiltered_html, such as WordPress Multisite, are required; visitors to a poll page execute the stored script.
