Browser script execution via unescaped settings URL
Published Oct 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Store Exporter 2.7.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts after a user opens a crafted link. In includes/settings.php, a settings-page URL is built with add_query_arg and emitted without appropriate escaping, allowing crafted query content into HTML output. Exploitation requires user interaction; the script runs in the victim's browser under the affected site's origin and can access data available to that session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
