CVE-2024-8784Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated SQL injection via chat user selector

Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

SQL injection in QDOCS Smart School 7.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through Chat. The /user/chat/mynewuser endpoint fails to neutralize crafted users[] content before database evaluation, allowing SQL expressions to control response timing. A student account is required; the demonstrated SLEEP() payload confirms injection through a five-second delay, and arbitrary SQL permits database reads or changes.
