Stored XSS via unencoded forum topic
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Stored XSS in OpenTibiaBR MyAAC 0.8.0 through 0.8.16 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in forum readers' browsers. The Post Reply Handler inserts the stored post_topic value into a breadcrumb link and reply data without HTML encoding. Any authenticated forum user can plant the payload, but another user must open the affected thread or reply page; execution occurs in that reader's browser and can affect administrators.
