CVE-2024-8782Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via traversed filename

Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024

Path traversal in JFinalCMS 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files through the template administration endpoint. The delete handler accepts traversal sequences in the fileName and directory parameters and removes the referenced path outside the template tree. An authenticated administrative session is shown in the public request, and successful exploitation can remove files accessible to the server process.
