Traffic interception and modification via encryption downgrade
Published Mar 24, 2025 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Protocol downgrade in Simple S.A. SIMPLE.ERP 6.20 through 6.30 allows remote attackers to intercept and modify database traffic. The client accepts an MS SQL server's downgrade request and continues the session without transport encryption instead of enforcing encrypted communication. The attacker must control or impersonate the database server; exposed traffic can be read or altered in transit, while availability is unaffected.
