CVE-2024-8748Network attack vector

Web interface interruption via malformed HTTP packet parsing

Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024

Buffer overflow in libclinkc in affected Zyxel device firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt the web management interface via HTTP. Its packet parser overruns a buffer while processing a crafted HTTP POST request; Zyxel has not disclosed the affected function or unchecked operation. WAN management is disabled by default, and successful exploitation does not interrupt ordinary network-traffic processing.
