Server-side code execution via unrestricted locale path
Published Sep 26, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in Advanced File Manager 5.2.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side PHP code. The admin file-manager loader uses fma_locale to select a local elFinder JavaScript file without restricting traversal sequences or the resulting path. Administrator access and a locally reachable crafted file are required; successful inclusion can bypass access controls, disclose data, or execute its PHP payload.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
