Administrator code execution via unchecked replacement upload
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in URBAN BASE Z-Downloads before 1.11.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code. The Replace file function accepts a PHP web shell without validating its file type, stores it under the web-accessible uploads tree, and exposes its location in plugin logs. Administrator-level access is required, and successful exploitation grants the privileges of the WordPress server process.
