Reflected script execution via unescaped administrative URL
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in WPFactory Helper 1.7.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts after a user opens a crafted link. The site-key manager builds an administrative URL with add_query_arg and outputs it without context-appropriate escaping, allowing query data to reach page markup. Exploitation requires user interaction and permits script execution in the user's browser context, enabling access to data and actions available to that session.
